2008 ATV Pulling Rules
1. No engine, suspension or gearing modifications. (Exception: ratchet strapped Suspension allowed, and suspension
can be blocked, but top of hitch height is 13". Air filter & ehaust upgrades not considered modified.
2.
No tires with tread bars running the full width of the tire.
3. No axle extensions or wider offset rims.
4. No adding weight to ATV when repulling.
5. Maximum tire size is 25 x 12 inches. (Unless originally
equipped with larger size)
6. No ATV will exceed overall dimensions of 60 inches wide or 96 inches long. This
will be measured at the longest and widest points, including tires, rims, racks, weights, etc. Open class/2000lbs- 72 wide,
unlimited length.
7. Machine must have a hitch that extends no farther rearward than 6 inches from the center
of rear axle.
8. Each weight class will include the weight of the machine plus the weight of the driver. Must
have your own weights & clevice, GBRR's do have clevice's for rent or sale.
9. All ATVs must be
operated in a safe manner on and off the track. No speeding or wheelies allowed.
10. ATV must use only rubber
tires. No chains or studs allowed.
11. ATV must have working brakes, fenders over the 2 rear tires, and a spring
return throttle (lever or twist).
12. All drivers must be at least 18 years of age or have the ATV Safety Training
Certificate with them and the signature of their parent or guardian at the time of registration
13. All drivers
must wear shirt, pants, shoes, and a helmet during the pull.
14. The first puller in each class is the Test
Puller. He/she has the option to re-pull in third or last spot. Decision to re-pull must be made before ATV leaves the track.
15. If the ATV goes out of bounds during the pull, you are done.
16. The puller will be given
2 consecutive attempts to start the sled.
17. All pulls will start with a tight hitch. No jerking is allowed.
18. All weights to be fastened securely to the machine with ratchet strap binders.
The loss of any object
while hooked to the sled will be a disqualification (no tarp straps are allowed).
19. The standard outdoor track
shall be 200 feet long and 25 feet wide.
20. No weights can extend more than 6 inches in front of and/or rear
of the tires, wheelie bar excluded.
21. Only pump gas is permitted for use as a fuel. Neither nitrous oxide
nor pressurized fuels are allowed.
22. Each participant has one pull per class, except in a tie or pull off.
23. Driver must remain seated on the seat during the pull.
24. The judges will settle any discrepancies
in the rules and their decisions are final and must be accepted in a sportsman-like manner.
25. All drivers
must be registered at gate.
26. No weaving back and forth while pulling the skid.
27. Driver can
only pull each ATV once in each class.
28. Black Flag - If driver doesn't
stop at Full Pull when Red Flagged, you will be Blacked Flagged. If 2 Black Flags in 1 pull you're out for the season!

Points System
The 2008 season for the points will run Sept. 2007-Aug.
23 2008.
The awards will be given at our annual Barn Dance on Aug. 23,08.
1. Points will be awarded
to the driver (on one entry per class).
2. Points shall be awarded based upon the finish position of driver.
3. A driver shall receive show-up points when driver arrives at pull and registers with the clerk unless pull is rescheduled.

4. Disqualification will receive last place points and purse in the class.
5. Points are calculated
from annual barn dance to annual barn dance.
6. The following point system will be utilized for GBRR points for the
2008 points season:
a. 1st Place-10 place points + 5 show points = 15
b. 2nd Place- 9 place points + 5 show
points =14
c. 3rd Place- 8 place points + 5 show points = 13
ETC.
7. Tie- Breaker
(end of the season). If the end of season points ace results in a tie, the following formula will be used to break the tie.
Ties will be broken by using the greatest number of 1st place finishes at events counting towards points. If a tie still exists,
2nd place finishes, 3rd place finishes, etc. will be counted until the tie is broken. This formula may be used for special
bonus programs if ties result.
8. The GBRR Board reserves the final authority to settle any questions or disputes
regarding point system
